Our verdict
The Space One is the pair we tell friends on a budget to buy without a second thought. It cancels most of the noise, plays for 55 hours and supports LDAC — at a quarter of the flagship price. You'll notice the corners it cuts; you'll notice the price more.
What we love
- Surprisingly effective ANC for the price
- 55-hour battery — best on our list
- LDAC support on a $99 pair
- Comfortable, light and foldable
- App EQ with a solid default tuning
What could be better
- Build is plastic and creaky
- Sound lacks flagship refinement
- Best features live behind the app
- Call mics pick up background noise
Sound quality
With LDAC enabled, the Space One sounds dramatically better than its price suggests — full-bodied, with decent separation and none of the tinny budget-house sound of a few years ago. The tuning is warm and forgiving, which suits podcasts and pop; the mids can get congested on dense mixes. It's 80% of a Momentum 4's sound for 26% of its price, and that's a trade we'll take every day.
Noise cancelling & battery
ANC is the surprise. The Space One removes steady rumble and office chatter to a degree that would have been a $250 feature three years ago. It's not Sony-quiet — sudden noises leak through more — but it's genuinely usable on a commute. Battery life is the class benchmark: 55 hours with ANC on means you'll charge these once a month, not once a week.
Comfort & build
At 263 g with plush synthetic-leather cushions, comfort punches above the price. The build is where the savings show: plastic hinges, a flexible headband and creaks when you adjust them. Handle them like they cost $99 and they'll be fine — treat them like flagships and they won't survive the year.
